What was 2015 like, highs lows?
2015 was an incredibly busy year for me, not just with my writing but my social life went crazy. Some of that is reflected in my writing I think. I visited my first BDSM club and had my first ever lap dance and thoroughly enjoyed both in fact!
My husband and I arranged Smut events for authors, sex bloggers, readers and other smutty folks in Luton, Scarborough and Manchester. The most yet with lots and lots of positive feedback, I’m glad to say. We also as attended Sexhibition and 3 Manchester Alternative and Burlesque fairs with our Smut.UK stall full of books, crafts and the world famous erotic tombola.
Somehow, between doing all of that, I managed to find time to write 2 novellas and a novel as well as revisiting and adding extra scenes to three other books. There were 2 short stories penned and a few pieces of Flash Fiction created too.
The novel, Good Manors, started out with quite vanilla intentions but then I discovered a kinkier muse and my sensual visit to an English Stately home became a game of submission and dominance. I think it became all the better for that in fact. I was struggling to write it at first but once I discovered my hero’s Dominant side the inspiration flowed.

I loved revisiting The Point Vamp series and adding in new scenes was great fun. There was a whole new book added to the series and The Point of Evil is the darkest book I’ve ever written. I think it might contain my most evil villain too. I loved writing that for a change from my usual brand of rosy, raunchy romance.
I think my favourite release of 2015 was my Novella Something Brave. I feel a very strong connection to the characters in it and I wrote some of the hottest, kinkiest sex scenes ever. I especially like the one with hot wax and a striking way of removing it once it’s dried. You know, what, I love it so much, here’s a little excerpt for you:
“I thought you might like to see my artwork,” he casually quipped. She blinked and squinted to get used to the sunlight once more.
“I think it’s looking quite good. What do you think?”
She arched her neck to gaze along her body. There were drips of red up her stomach, a streak of green zig-zagged round the red spots. Streaks of blue highlighted both her breasts.
“It’s looking good, Sir,” she responded. It did look good—felt good too, dried on her skin. “I don’t think it’s quite finished yet, though,” Sir pondered.
He held his chin in one hand, assessing her and his handiwork. Her nipples tightened, her stomach rolled and her clit tingled under his gaze.
“I like the minimalist look,” she squeaked. “You can easily over do a piece of artwork, you know.”
As much as the sensation of the drying wax was quite enjoyable, the intense burn of the impact was uncomfortable. Yes, it had led to a burst of endorphins and a pleasant buzz of euphoria, but she really would prefer to get fucked, if she was honest with herself.
Sir laughed and shook his head.
“Oh, Felicity, you have a lot to learn my sweet, sweet sub. You don’t tell me what to do, my love—especially when you forget to call me Sir.”
“Oh, no, Sir, I wasn’t. I mean, I’d never even think to. I was just—” “Shush,” he whispered. “I’m thinking.”
He trailed his gaze along her body. Her heart thudded so hard she felt the vibrations from her head to her toes. Was she in even more trouble? What was he going to do next?
“More. It simply needs more.” He reached for the cabinet beside him and picked up one of the chunky white candles. He lifted it to an inch from his lips and blew softly. The flame flickered as his lips puckered. She imagined the feel of his breath on her skin as the glow danced and finally went out under the power of his air kiss.
I think my only low is that I didn’t get to write more. I had periods of intense productivity but then other times I felt really blocked. I’ve not written more than the odd piece of flash fiction in the last couple of months. I’m itching to get into my WIP! That’s work in progress for the uninitiated.
What are you planning for 2016?
More of the above with lots of new adventures too, I hope. Writing wise I have a few things in the pipeline. I’m currently working on a cross-ocean erotic romance which is a personal favourite of mine. I’m a sucker for an American accent!
I’ve got another Point Vamp novella in mind and I really do need to let Johnny the Djinn out of his amulet again and finish that series. I’m a bit bad at finishing things I start. Naughty me. Talking of which, I have a book cover for a novel I’ve not started yet. That’s got to be a priority really. It’s going to be called A Wallflower Blooms and is going to have lots of delicious firsts for one brand new submissive. Maybe I need the threat of a damn good thrashing to get on with it…or maybe that’d just be even more of a distraction!

Smut wise we have Smut by the Sea planned for the 28th May, sponsored by Godemiche and we’re in the middle of sorting out dates and locations for the next Smut Manchester events. We’re attending more Alternative and Burlesque fairs too and branching out to Leeds and Newcastle as well as Manchester. Exciting times.
Are you doing anything different?
I’m going to be more organised this year. Now, I often say ‘I’m going to try to be…’ and never end up following through. I’m a natural procrastinator but I am going to be more organised this year. I’m going to treat my writing and the smut events as my job. So far, both have been very enjoyable hobbies. Now I’m going to sit down and work on my fiction and my smut organisation for a set number of hours each day. So far, it’s working pretty well!
